The City of Boulder has set the pace for open space preservation among Colorado's Front Range Communities. In all, their aggressive program has set aside nearly 25,000 acres of prime foothills acreage. Not satisfied with simply acquiring the land, however, the program has also established many miles of hiking trails and numerous trailhead facilities.

This hike reminded me why the Denver/Boulder area is my favorite part of the USA to date. What a beautiful place and a great hike with many mare areas to explore.
